Labor Day is BIG here in Upland with town rummages happening all over!!!
In fact, the traffic for town rummages is usually pretty tough to navigate…but this year? There’s a TON of 🦺 construction 🚧 going on around town that’ll make things even MORE congested! 😱
Thus, we are excited to offer spaces in our church parking lot for anyone interested in setting up a Rummage Sale or Crafter/Vendor booth!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- We are conveniently located at 201 N. 8th Street in Upland, which is just off SR22 (accessible without any construction interference). 8th Street is also the main detour while Main Street is under construction. 😉
- Dates of the sale will be Friday, August 29, beginning at 8am and Saturday, August 30, from 8am to 2pm.
- Setup may begin the evening of Thursday, August 28.
- This event is a fundraiser for children’s and youth ministry at Pierce Church.
- Booth fees and other revenues will help offset costs related to camps, retreats, and outings.
- We will also be selling breakfast and lunch items (and other treats) on Saturday as another fundraising component.
FEES & SIGN-UP
- Standard entry = $20 (Includes 2 parking spaces for a combined area of about 18′ x 20′).
- Additional parking spaces = $5/space (single space is 18′ x 10′).
- Example: 2 spaces = $20; 3 spaces = $25; 4 spaces = $30; and so on.
- Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- All participants will also be required to pay a $50 “pack out” deposit that will be refunded once you clear your items from your area after the sale (i.e. by 6 pm on Saturday, August 30). This deposit will not be refunded if items are left behind that we must assume responsibility for removing. This “pack out” deposit is so we can ensure our lot is clear, accessible, and available for Sunday services.
- Participants will be emailed an invoice after signing up below. Reserved spots are NOT confirmed until invoice is paid in full.
- Beware of scammers! Do NOT send money to anyone purporting to coordinate the event other than Pierce Church and its staff members. You will receive a specific and direct invoice from Pierce Church’s Square business account as the official avenue of payment.
DISCLAIMER:
- Pierce Church is not held liable for damages or theft of any merchandise or items set up on the premises during the sale. Vendor/seller assumes responsibility for security and protection of their own belongings/merchandise.
- This includes all hours of the sale as well as any overnight storage from Thursday, August 28 to Friday, August 29 and overnight Friday, August 29 to Saturday, August 30.
- Participants are encouraged to cover their items with secured tarps during overnight storage or take home valuables for these overnight periods (and bring them back on-site in the morning for the sale).
- This event is weather permitting. We will keep a close eye on the forecast. In the event of cancellation, all paid fees and deposits will be refunded to participants.
Please remember that this event is hosted by a church. Please ensure all items for sale are family-friendly and have NO displays of foul language, inappropriate innuendo, or questionable content (i.e. drug/alcohol related content, edgy political satire, crude humor, etc). Pierce Church and its staff reserve the right to forbid the sale or display of any item they deem inappropriate or unfit for display on their premises.
