Historical Context

Pierce Church has a history of over 100 years in Upland, IN. In 2013, plans began for the church to relocate in the former Pierce Governor factory. The doors to the Pierce Campus opened to the public in December 2017.

Growing into the New Space

Over the last four and a half years, the Pierce Church building has proven to be a wonderful church home. We have extended our reach into the community, Kiddie Kampus has thrived, hundreds of meals have been served to thousands of people, God’s word has been preached, His people have grown deeper in their faith, and the name of the Lord has been glorified.

Looking Ahead

As we excitedly look towards many years ahead we are embarking on a significant fundraising goal of $1.5 million over the next three years. This capital campaign will look to eliminate the remaining construction mortgage and cover the costs of critical roof replacement. In addition to paying off our debt, we plan to give 10% of the funds received to partner with local ministries in sharing God’s word and being His hands and feet.

In many ways, this goal feels beyond what is possible in our hands, but we are trusting that God will be at work in the ways that he sees fit. At Pierce, we believe that God is at work and he calls us to join Him in this work. We Get to!!! We get to be a part of what He is doing, we get to serve, we get to love others, and we get to give of the resources we have been entrusted with.

By completely paying off our debt, we believe we will be best positioned to meet the needs of our church family and local community for many years ahead. We want to pay off our debt, so we can! So we can continue to share God’s word well, so we can meet the needs of our community, and so we can continue to grow into who God is calling our community to be. We hope that in the many years ahead at Pierce, you can help us fill in the blank. We are paying off our debt, so we can _______.

Considerations for Contributing

As you consider what and how much to give over the next three years, we want to encourage you to consider a few ideas:

  • Giving for a capital campaign is encouraged to be giving above and beyond what you typically give towards the needs of Pierce.
  • By the numbers, $1.5 million, divided up into 200 givers is $7,500 total over the course of three years ($2,500 a year or $208 a month or 150 people giving $50).
  • Consider what you can reasonably give, and think about joining with others in your giving.  Can you and another family or group of friends joining together to try and reach $7,500,
  • If you have non cash gifts (property, stocks, estate, etc.) that you would like to give, please contact the Pierce Church Office (office@piercechurch.org)
