Baptism is an important mark in the Christian journey, serving as a "means of grace" in which our faith and dependence on Jesus as Lord and Savior is made public in the presence of fellow believers. Through the sacrament of baptism, we are initiated into Christ’s holy church, incorporated into God’s mighty acts of salvation, and given new birth through water and the Spirit.
